Exhibiting in Tampa

Suncoast Displays has been based in Tampa for more than three decades. For a show at the Tampa Convention Center that means the exhibit is stored, prepped and loaded a few miles from the loading dock, and the crew installing it has worked the room before.

Being the home market changes the economics. There is no cross-country freight bill, no waiting on a national vendor's install team, and last-minute changes are a drive rather than a reprint and an overnight shipment.

Design, graphics production, freight coordination, install and dismantle, and storage between shows are handled by one team. That matters most when something goes wrong on site, because the person who printed the graphic and the person standing in the booth work for the same company. We work Tampa Convention Center, Amalie Arena, Raymond James Stadium and Tampa Marriott Water Street, and deliver across Hillsborough County, including Brandon, Wesley Chapel and Carrollwood.

Brief and design

We start from the show, the booth size and what you need the space to do. 3D concepts let you see layout, lighting and traffic flow before committing.

Hardware, rented or owned

As a Skyline Authorized Dealer we specify from proven systems rather than fabricating every element from scratch, so a booth can be reconfigured for the next show instead of replaced. Rentals remove the capital cost for pilot shows and rebrands.

Graphics production

Brand-accurate color with proofs and controlled print conditions, dye-sublimated fabric tuned for even diffusion under LED, and art templates for every wall, panel and sign.

Freight, drayage and paperwork

Shipping plans, labels, target move-in and move-out, EAC and certificate of insurance paperwork, rigging and electrical forms, coordinated with the decorator and carrier.

Install and dismantle

Our own I&D crews set the booth, verify it against the plan and strike it at close, so the people who built it are the people on the floor.

Storage between shows

Exhibits come back to a labeled bay in our Tampa warehouse with an inventory list, photos and condition notes, then get inspected and refreshed before the next show.

Tampa trade show questions

What does I&D mean?

I&D stands for install and dismantle: the labor that assembles your exhibit before the show opens and takes it down afterwards. Suncoast uses its own crews across Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota and Orlando rather than subcontracting to whoever the venue supplies.

Should we rent or buy a trade show booth?

Rent when you are testing a show, running a rebrand, or exhibiting once a year, because a rental avoids the capital cost and the storage bill. Buy when you exhibit regularly enough that repeat rental fees pass what the hardware would have cost.

What is drayage?

Drayage is the charge for moving your crates from the loading dock to your booth space and back again, billed by the show decorator by weight. It is separate from your freight bill and is a common source of unexpected cost. We plan it with the decorator in advance.

How early should we start planning a booth?

Start as soon as you have booked the space. Custom builds need design approval before fabrication, graphics need artwork and proofing time, and freight has to hit a target move-in window. Rentals compress that, but artwork deadlines still govern.

Do you store our exhibit between shows?

Yes. Exhibits and graphics are stored in our Tampa warehouse with organized racking and crate IDs, tracked with inventory photos and condition notes, and inspected and refreshed before they ship again.

What size booth do we need?

A 10x10 inline booth sits in a row with neighbors on both sides and is read from the aisle in front. An island of 20x20 or larger is open on all four sides and carries towers, hanging signs and lounge space. Show floor plans set what is available.
