Choosing a backlit fabric wall
A backlit wall is an aluminum lightbox: an LED array sits inside the frame and the graphic is a tension fabric stretched across the face, so the image is lit from behind rather than by spotlights aimed at it. That is why the color holds up in a hall where the ambient lighting is dim and every neighboring booth is competing for the same eye.
The practical trade is depth and power. A lightbox frame is deeper than a plain fabric wall and it needs an electrical drop, which is ordered from the show separately from your booth space. Against that, the frame packs down to the same crate as a standard wall and the graphic is a zippered skin you can swap between shows without touching the hardware.
Sizing
Scales from 8 foot inline walls to 20 foot and larger backdrops, so the same system covers a 10x10 and an island.
Graphics
Dye-sublimated fabric tuned for even diffusion, so the LED array does not read as hot spots through the print.
Power
Order an electrical drop with the show. The booth space rental does not include it.
Reuse
Swap the fabric skin to rebrand. The frame and lighting stay.
Common questions
How do backlit fabric walls light up?
An LED array is mounted inside the aluminum frame and the tension fabric graphic diffuses it from behind. That gives an even glow across the whole panel rather than the bright spots and shadows you get from spotlights aimed at a printed wall.
Can we change the graphic without replacing the frame?
Yes. The graphic is a zippered tension fabric skin. It unzips from the frame, so a rebrand or a new message means reprinting fabric and reusing the hardware and lighting.
Do backlit walls need special power?
They need a standard electrical drop, which you order from the show organizer separately from your booth space. We include the power requirement in the planning so it is on the show forms before the deadline.
Are they heavier to ship than a normal wall?
The frame is aluminum and the graphic is fabric, so the packed weight stays close to a standard modular wall. The lighting adds some weight but the system is still designed to ship in cases rather than crates.
