Planning a hanging sign
A hanging sign is the one element of your booth that is decided by the venue as much as by you. Every hall sets a maximum height, some restrict which booth sizes may hang at all, and rigging is almost always handled by the venue's own crew rather than yours. Those rules are why the sign gets planned first, not last.
Shape follows sightline. A circular ring reads the same from every aisle and is the safe default. Square and rectangular signs give you bigger, more readable faces and suit a long aisle where most traffic approaches from two directions. Tapered and wave forms are chosen when the shape itself is doing brand work.

Common questions
Will the venue let us hang a sign?
That depends on the hall and often on your booth size, since many shows only permit hanging signs for islands. Height limits and rigging rules are set by the venue, so we confirm eligibility from the show's exhibitor kit before the sign is designed.
What shape hanging sign should we choose?
A circular ring gives even 360 degree visibility and is the reliable default. Square and rectangular shapes give larger, more readable faces for long aisles. Tapered and wave forms are worth it when the shape is part of the brand rather than just a carrier for a logo.
Should the graphic be single or double sided?
Double sided is standard for anything hanging over an island, because attendees approach from all four sides. Single sided can work where the sign sits against a hall wall or where one approach clearly dominates.
Who actually hangs the sign?
Rigging is usually performed by the venue or the show's appointed rigging contractor rather than by exhibitor crews. We produce the rigging plan and hardware list and coordinate with show services so the sign is up before install begins.
